Craft Fur Tricks
Craft fur is one of my go to synthetics. It is relatively inexpensive, comes in an assortment of lengths and colors, and is easy to tie with.
I have found that these simple steps can make tying with craft fur a little more manageable.
I cut my craft fur into 1" strips and attach them using one of those plastic hand clamps. It's like having a third hand! The strip of craft fur is much easier to handle, and I've found that it is just the right width to get a nice bunch with one cut of the scissors. I have found that the waste is also minimized using this technique. I use a super sharp pair of Thompson ice scissors for craft fur cuts. I don't use my fine tipped pair as I think it dulls the blades cutting clumps of fur.
If you use more than one color you can line them up! This is a 99 cent clip board that I cut to size and attached some of that rubbery non-slip drawer liner material to.
