Welcome to goangling

This is one of my favorite photos and was shot early one morning by my good friend Scott Fisher.  This is a beautiful flat located on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas.  I had just entered the water and was stripping out line, a small school of bonefish were tailing in about 6 inches of water just in front of me.  Always bring a camera along as an essential part of your fishing gear!  Take the time to photograph your surroundings, the memories can only be enhanced by looking back at the incredible shots you have of long forgotten trips.

I hope you enjoy this web site. My goal is to give you information on bonefish flies, how to tie them, and what a well rounded fly box for the tropics should contain.  If you are a fly tyer like I am I hope the site is useful for you in your quest to tie saltwater patterns.

Please note that all of the flies pictured on this site have been tied by me.   Some are what I consider original patterns, most are tried and true patterns endorsed by the masters of bonefishing.   I try to give historical credit to the originators of the patterns, feel free to contact me if I have gotten something wrong or if you think one of my patterns is similar to another pattern you have seen.

I'll be adding more flies and incorporating tying recipes and instructions in the near future so stay tuned!

I sell flies sporadically on eBay and I find that it is an excellent venue to purchase flies and fly tying materials.
